She will tell her story of why she only applied to Spelman College and she will tell her story of her experience at Spelman that helped to shape her successful career as an actress. Karan is an amazing actress and singer and she’s going to sing for us today! Karan is known for The Hunger Games (2012), Hidden Figures (2016) and The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012). Most recently, she has been celebrated for her powerfully nuanced portrayal of “Minnie McMillian” in the newly released Just Mercy alongside Jamie Foxx.
