Meet Andrea H. Evans, Esq.
In 2007, Andrea Hence Evans, Esq. launched the intellectual property law practice, The Law Firm of Andrea Hence Evans. Attorney Evans career path is unique since she worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for approximately 5 years as both a patent examiner and a trademark examining attorney after graduating from law school.
Andrea Hence Evans, Esq. is a 2002 graduate of The George Washington Law School in Washington, DC. While attending law school, she took advantage of the school’s world renowned intellectual property curriculum. She is a graduate of Spelman College and Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta, Georgia, where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelors of Civil Engineering, respectively.
Andrea Hence Evans, Esq. is a member of the Texas bar. She is also a registered Patent Attorney. She is a member of the US Supreme Court Bar. The Firm currently represents independent inventors, entrepreneurs, small, medium, and Fortune 100 clients in multiple states and multiple countries with patent, trademark and copyright issues. She is also the owner of a hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math program, KidGINEER, LLC. She is the author of All About Inventing, Everything You Need to Know About Patents from a Former USPTO Patent Examiner & Patent Attorney. She is also a Patent Attorney on the PBS television show, MAKE48. Andrea is the proud wife of Christopher and they are parents to future HBCU graduates, Nya and Austin.
Meet Ashley Deadwyler-Jones
Ashley Deadwyler-Jones was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. She graduated from The Tatnall School with honors, and later attended Spelman College where she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Management Organization in 1998. Upon graduation Ashley’s career path has been very dynamic as she has held key positions in the Banking, Pharmaceutical & Insurance industries.
Continuing her professional growth and development, Ashley received her Masters of Business Administration at Clark Atlanta University in 2005. Shortly after completing a graduate degree, Ashley was asked to join State Farm Insurance Companies®, where she led the Southern Zone’s Marketing and Sponsorship efforts. Ashley also served as the multi-cultural marketing consultant for the Southern Region. After 3 short years with State Farm, Ashley was ready to hang up her corporate collar and become a business owner. On June 1st, 2010 she opened the doors to the Ashley Deadwyler-Jones State Farm Insurance Agency in Silver Spring, MD. After one year, the Ashley Deadwyler-Jones State Farm Agency was recognized in State Farm’s Mid-Atlantic Hall of Fame as having one of the most successful auto production launches in the history of the region. Since, the Agency has consistently qualified for State Farm’s Ambassador Travel Club, Senior Vice President’s Club and Most Notably President’s Club (Ranked Top 50 out of 18,000 State Farm Agencies in US & Canada). Ashley’s business continues to flourish as one of State Farm’s market leaders in auto, home and life insurance production.
Finally, and above all of Ashley’s professional and academic accomplishments, Ashley is most proud of her role as wife to Jacobi Jones, and mother to their two sons Jacobi Jones II and Joshua Jones.
